Seahawks open 2018-19 campaign with win

Seven players hit double-figures in 113-52 victory

Freshman Chris Thomas came off the bench to score 14 points to lead Lamar State College Port Arthur double-figure scorers as teh Seahawks recorded a 113-52 season-open win over Up Tempo Basketball at the Carl Parker Center on November 1, 2018.

Thomas, from Vinton, Louisiana, added four rebounds in his team-leading effort. Sophomore Devin Ellis added 12, while Devaughn Thomas and Thailan Wesley each added 11 points. Freshmen Darion Chatman, Colin Just and Jamyus Jones each had 10 points in the win. Chatman and Just each had six rebounds, while Chatman picked up a team-best four steals. Freshman Charles Miller also had six boards for the Seahawks.

Nabil Rurangirwa led Up Tempo with 13 points, while teammate Isaiah Ivery added 11.
