Longtime benefactor Port Arthur LNG presented the Athletics Department a check for $3,000 during the halftime of the Seahawks' men's basketball game against Bossier Parish Community College on December 1, 2018. Joining Director of Athletics Scott Street for the presentation were Marvin Ivey and Kelly Prasser.

Galveston College, Tyler JC take top two spots in Region 14 Tournament

It took a lot of sweat, a few tears and, eventually, a bit of blood before a champion was crowned in the 2018 NJCAA Region 14 Softball Tournament. In the end, it was the Galveston College Whitecaps who will represent the conference as its champion, while Tyler Junior College earns the runner-up spot.
