BOSSIER CITY, La. — Kobi Johnson and Ty Archibald will have to share the game ball after their last-second heroics put Lamar State College Port Arthur past Bossier Parish Community College 74-72 in NJCAA Region 14 play on Wednesday night.

Archibald hit three clutch free throws to tie the game and then Johnson scored off a bad pass by BPCC with 4.6 seconds left as the Seahawks rallied from 15 points down to win the game.

With time still on the clock, the Cavaliers drove to the basket but an offensive charge with 0.5 seconds to go ended the threat.

Archibald scored 18 points, Joe Lucien added 17 and Desmond McQuain scored 10 for the Hawks. LSCPA season scoring leader Kanntrell Burney sat out his second straight game with a hamstring injury.

The victory, the second in a row for the Seahawks, moved LSCPA to 3-7 in Region 14 standings. The loss dropped the Cavaliers to 3-7.

The Seahawks return home to play Panola College at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Carl Parker Center. They play a makeup game at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 8, against Navarro College in Corsicana.
