PORT ARTHUR, Texas – Martins Adonry and Isaiah Brooks each notched a double-double as the Lamar State Coilege Port Arthur Seahawks remained unbeaten at home with a convincing 130-77 win over the Concordia University JV squad at the Carl Parker Center on Wednesday evening.
Adonry had 20 points and 16 rebounds, while Brooks finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Seahawks (4-2), who are 4-0 at home this season. Overall, LSCPA had eight players reach double figures in scoring. Nisani Mendez had 19 points in the win, Christian Andrews had 18 points and nine assists, Zion Young scored 16 points, J'Mar Franklin totaled 12 points, Jaylon Johnson contributed 11 points and Amauriay Calloway chipped in 10 points.
Concordia opened the game with a pair of 3=pointers to take an early 6-0 lead before the Seahawks took control. LSCPA led 55-32 at halftime. Jesiah Saunders led Concordia with 19 points and seven assists.
The Seahawks continue their four-game homestand when they host St. Thomas at 2 p.m. Saturday. LSCPA then welcomes Strength & Motion International at 2 p.m. Nov. 25 and Panola College at 7 p.m. Dec. 3.
