Seahawks drop overtime decision at Coastal Bend

BEEVILLE, Texas – Martins Adonry scored 18 points, while Isaiah Brooks added 17 points, but the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks dropped an 85-81 overtime decision to the host Coastal Bend Cougars in a Region XIV men's basketball game Wednesday evening.

Zion Young had 14 points for the Seahawks (9-7 overall, 3-5 Region XIV), while J'Mar Franklin finished with 13 points. The Seahawks led 34-29 at halftime.

Richard Safa led Coastal Bend (5-11, 2-6) with 16 points.

The Seahawks look to build upon their 9-1 home record when they host the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Carl Parker Multipurpose Center.
