PORT ARTHUR, Texas – The forecast for inclement weather forced the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks to postpone Wednesday's softball doubleheader against the visiting Baton Rouge Community College Bears. The twin bill has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at LSCPA's Martin Field.
The Seahawks (4-12) return to action at 1 p.m. Sunday when they host the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers (18-8) at Martin Field.
Quinn Zaragoza sparks the LSCPA offense with a .564 batting average and a team-best total of five stolen bases. Alyssa Lewis sports a .325 batting average, with three home runs and seven RBIs. Mallory Cheek is batting .300, while Abigail Moreno leads the team with 10 hits and eight RBIs.
Pitchers Kendall Hurt and Aubre Fuller each have two wins in the circle for the Seahawks.
