After scoring more than 100 points in three straight home games to start the season, the Seahawks hit the road for the East-West Challenge in Plano this weekend.
The Hawks, 3-0, will face host team Collin County Community College at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11, and South Plains College at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 12.
"This is a great tournament every year and this year is no different," said Seahawks head coach Lance Madison. "This will be an opportunity to see how far we've come this year. It will show us where we need to improve and where our strengths are."
Collin County is currently 3-1 for the season, led by Isaiah Washington, a sophomore guard averaging 17.5 points and 3.0 steals per game. Ben Joelson owns the boards for Collin County, averaging 6.8 rebounds a game while hitting for 12.5 points per game.
Meanwhile, South Plains is 2-1 this season, led by sophomore forward Christian Coleman with 19.0 points and 8 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Ismail Habib is averaging 18 points per game with 5 boards per game, while sophomore guard Elijah Tate is hitting for 15 points a game.
The Hawks will return home on Tuesday, November 15, when they take on Strength N Motion with a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Carl Parker Center in Port Arthur.
